Life is weird, but things seem to keep working out. It’s hard to remember in the months when things are slow that it doesn’t mean the world is ending. There has to be those slow parts for things to line up and arrange themselves, especially when working with other people and larger companies. It’s just so hard to transition from being able to finish something, going to Kinkos, and immediately being able to sell it. Having to wait on real book printing and editors, and distribution is so painful! (Hella stuff already printed up with my friends at Silver Sprocket!)
On that note I have a fun project I am doing for Lion Forge comics that is about to start in January’s issue of The Castoffs. It is kind of a workplace comedy strip, but they have given me a lot of freedom to be myself and make things fun in a way that makes me really excited to work on it. If you like Please Keep Warm, you will probably like it. It has been cooking for a hot minute, so it is cool to see it finally blooming like the sunflower it is!
(These a the characters for it!)
We also have a hot tip on a new office space that I am not sure if I am allowed to talk about, but I will say it is in the tower of an old church that is being renovated. The drive to our current space has really started to take a toll on me, so I am excited to get an extra hour or two everyday. Or maybe I can lose half an hour and start biking!
I love you,
